When to Use

Use this calculator when you have categorical data with more than two levels for one or both variables. For example, testing whether political affiliation (Democrat, Republican, Independent) is associated with opinion on an issue (Favor, Oppose, Undecided).

• Independent observations
• Expected frequency should be at least 5 in most cells
